Here I am at 14 weeks along. So excited about this little one, already can't wait to see baby's face but I have to wait awhile. One sweater, so many options. Above is a bird ornament and below is Aiden's Owlie.
I love roasted vegies (this one is purple turnips, red pepper, red potato, mushrooms and cauliflower. Home made apple sauce!!! Just a little glimpse of home made presents for Christmas. This is a handpainted burlap bucket I made. And a brown satin (and brown colors) quilt I made for one amazing couple.
Happy December and hope those Christmas ideas are coming!
Wish I could show y'all what I've been working on, but they are all gifts and those people would find out. (and we don't want lovely surprises spoiled). Sorry I haven't posted anything amazing, but I'm sure something is just around the corner. In the mean time, Happy November! What a marvelous month. So thankful for so many things!
I love these washcloths. They work so well. I've been mass producing them in the evening when Jake and I watch an old movie together. Somebody had a major growth spurt and needed a larger size of cloth diapers. So here is a fresh new batch for little guy. I loved how these turned out.
Take one old potholder (one with stains, burn marks, etc) sew (right sides together) a pillowcase with a lovely fabric. Slip the old potholder in the pillow case, close up last side and sew a finishing hem all the way around. Finish by sewing quilted lines throughout, binding everything together and adding texture. And there you go (perfect for a recession)your newly recovered pot holder!!
Shower curtain I made from a duvet cover (found of course at the local thrift store) I cut the bottom short and made tabs for each curtain hook.
This is a purse and matching headband that I made for a little girl's first birthday. Just her size.
Given as a hand-me-down robe. Genn needed a new one. This one was very much for a teenage boy, so I gave it a little makeover and sleeping beauty has her robe.

Abi made hers all by herself as well as Eddrick. I think they did a great job!
Making dresses for my girls out of my old shirts T-shirts work well and make comfortable dresses. Cloth diapers I made. I love line drying! I am a little obsessed with making these cloth headbands.
